Classic Public Relations and Special Events…
Connie Madden wrote her first press release in 1975 in San Francisco for the famous pr team of Davy Rosenberg and Peter Marino about a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud owned by Peter Marino and painted with an romantic history of San Francisco. The release landed a feature on Evening Magazine and a day driving around in the Rolls with the crew complete with a visit to the Hollywood-style home of Peter Marino, a collector of esoteric antiques including an exact model of King Tut’s thrown and a piano previously owned by close friend, Liberace, as well as a fresco look-alike of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
At Art Blum Public Relations and Advertising, Connie’s experience expanded to include medium and large hotel accounts, Chevron Land and Development and San Francisco Girls Chorus, among many others (see client list).
Later, as Madden, Rosenberg & Associates, she arranged for Dianne Feinstein to host a video for the Food & Beverage Industry of San Francisco and handled press for an AIDS benefit raising $80,000 through A Taste of San Francisco, which provided a much copied formula for special events across the country.
As manager of a penthouse meeting space, 3220 Sacramento Street, San Francisco, Connie had the privilege of working on UNICEF press conferences for the State of the Worlds Children Report for six years, for the United Nations 50th Anniversary, for a visit of the Dalai Lama, for then-California Assemblyman Tom Hayden and many other luminaries in the fields of ecology and international relations.
